Colin Crowley is a partner and Head of Research at 22V Research. Prior to joining the firm, Colin was a managing director in equity/macro research sales at Evercore ISI. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services business. Previously, Colin was a proprietary commodity trader at Enron and, before that, with Metallgesellschaft and Rudolf Wolff. Mr. Crowley graduated from Adelphi University, serves on the Board of the Brooklyn Benevolent Society, and resides in Garden City, NY with his wife Joellen and three children (Chris, Will, and Elizabeth).

Chris Sarkis is an accomplished financial professional with a 30-year career specializing in equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. Currently serving as Head of Trading and Sales Trading, Christopher has held prominent roles, including former Partner at Cantor Fitzgerald, Head of Trading at Rafferty Capital, and Senior Managing Director at Canaccord Genuity. He specializes in the trading of public and private equity, alternative investments, fund raising, and distribution. A 1996 graduate of Muhlenberg College, Christopher is also the Co-President of the Paul R. Eckna Memorial 9/11 Foundation.

Stephen Sheridan joined 22V Research’s sales team in December 2024. A graduate of Providence College (2012) with a Bachelor’s in Business/Managerial Economics, he also holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Pace University Lubin School of Business (2014). Stephen’s diverse professional background includes experience as a Project Liaison at KTS Construction (2014-2015), Associate Account Executive at BGB Group (2016-2017), and service as a police officer with the NYPD (2019-2024).

Bruno Stuani is an accomplished finance professional with more than two decades of experience in investment management, equity trading, and wealth advisory. Currently serving as Co-Head of Latin America at 22V Research, he last position as a Partner at Genial Investimentos in São Paulo, where he focuses on investor relations. Before this, Bruno co-founded Helius Capital, where he led macro strategy development and managed client relationships. Bruno’s career has spanned prestigious roles in both Latin America and international markets. He held directorial positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and TradeWire LLC, specializing in Latin American equity sales trading. He also worked as a financial advisor for wealth management at UBS Bank in Geneva, further showcasing his global expertise. His career began at Banco Pactual, where he was Vice President and a key player in Latam equity trading. Bruno holds an MBA in Economics in Financial Markets from FEA USP and a Bachelor’s degree in Business from FAAP, both based in São Paulo. He is certified by FINRA (Series 7) and ANBIMA (CPA 20). Beyond his professional achievements, he is married, has two boys and is a passionate triathlete, having completed four Ironman competitions. Fluent in English and conversant in Spanish, Bruno is known for his strong leadership, competitive drive, and exceptional communication skills, consistently delivering valuable insights to clients and stakeholders.

Max Trunz is a partner and Head of Sales at 22V Research. Prior to joining the firm, Max was a senior vice president at Wolfe Research where he was responsible for the curation and distribution of a research note specific to RIAs and Family Offices. Before that, he worked on Dennis DeBusschere’s Portfolio Strategy and Quantitative Research teams at Evercore ISI. Max has opened and covered clients in over 30 states and of various investment strategies. He has been in equity research for 11 years in both a research and sales capacity. Max graduated from Fairfield University and resides in Rumson, NJ with his wife Annelise and two girls (Tilly and Scarlett).

Mike Walsh is a Managing Director and Head of Boston Sales at 22V Research. Prior to joining the firm, Mike worked on sales desks for Deutsche Bank and Stephens before joining BMO Capital Markets as a Director of Equity Sales. He also has a background on the buyside starting his career with Point72 Asset Management in Broker Relations. Collectively, Mike has 10 years of experience on both sides of the asset management business. Mike graduated from Brown University and played four years of Varsity Football. He currently resides in South Boston with his wife Caroline.

Vinayak is a founding partner of 22V and previously served as President of Evercore ISI. Over his three decades at Evercore ISI, Vinayak oversaw the firm’s 200+ employees across sales, trading and research. Vinayak started his career at U-Haul in 1991. Vinayak is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, MN.

Francesc Lleal is a partner at 22V Research. Prior to joining the firm, Francesc was a managing director at Wells Fargo. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, Francesc was a Managing Director at Evercore ISI, and started his career on the LatAm equities sales desk at JP Morgan. Prior to his career in the financial services industry Francesc competed on the ATP Tour. Francesc has a BA in Finance and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth
University. He resides in Barcelona, Spain, with his partner Nikki and their two daughters Madison and Sky.

Alejandro Rebelo is a veteran investment banking professional with over 25 years of experience bridging Latin American institutional investors with global capital markets. A graduate of PUC Rio de Janeiro, Rebelo splits his time between Latin America and the United States. His career spans leadership positions at major financial institutions, including roles as Managing Director at Canaccord Genuity Inc., Partner at XP Securities, and Head of Institutional Sales at StoneX Securities. Currently serving as Head of Latin America at 22V Research, Rebelo specializes in sales, distribution, and trading of public and private equity and alternative investments.

Sophia Anagnostakis serves as Director of Client Distribution and Data at 22V Research. After joining the firm in August 2021 in Sales, she was promoted to her current Director
role in September 2023. A 2021 graduate of Villanova University with a B.S. in Finance, Sophia hails from Bronxville, New York.

Misha Botvinnik recently joined 22V Research to lead the firm’s Risk Arbitrage effort. With 25 years of experience in event-driven investing, Misha brings a proven track record of market insight and execution. Prior to joining 22V, Misha spent 16 years at Canaccord Genuity, where he served as Managing Director.

Jeff Easter is a Director at 22V Research with over 25 years in investment management. Holding an MBA in Finance from Fordham (2005) and a Bachelor’s in Labor Studies from Rutgers (1995), he has expertise in equity research, business development, and capital markets. His career includes roles as Head of Sales at Markets Policy Partners (2020-2021), Business Development Director at Cross River Partners (2018-2021), Director at The Buckingham Research Group (2014-2018), and positions at Evercore, ISI Group, GFI Group, and Julius Baer. Easter spent his early career at SunAmerica Asset Management (1995-2006), where he served as Vice President of Equity Research on a team managing over $6 billion in assets.

Derek Gottschall is a Managing Director at 22V Research, joining the firm in August 2024. Before 22V, he spent nine years as Managing Director at Canaccord Genuity (2015-2024). Derek previously had a lengthy tenure at Convergex spanning twenty years (1995-2015), where he also served as Managing Director. He holds a degree in International Relations from William & Mary, graduating in 1994. Derek enjoys playing piano, classical music, golf, and most importantly spending time with his wife of over 25 years and their 2 sons.

Eleanor Henderson is a Sales Associate at 22V Research, where she helps with Southeast regional outreach and manages the firm’s social media presence. A Nashville native and 2024 graduate of Bryn Mawr College, she holds a degree in Growth and Structure of Cities. After graduating and prior to 22V Research, Eleanor served as Operations Director & Communications Manager for Nashville Moves, helping to successfully pass Nashville’s transportation improvement program.

Robert Maguire joined 22V Research as Managing Director of Trading in October 2024. Before 22V, he headed up Outsourced Trading at Lone Peak Capital (2021-2024) and Mirae Asset Securities (2019-2021). He also previously worked as Director of US Institutional Equities at CLSA. Robert graduated from SUNY Albany, where he built the foundation for his career in financial trading.

Jillian currently serves as Executive Director of Business Development and Institutional Sales at 22V Research, a position she has held since August 2024. A Princeton University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Jillian brings over a decade of financial services experience to her role. Prior to joining 22V Research, she was an Executive Director in Institutional Equity Sales at Morgan Stanley (January 2020 to July 2023) and Assistant Vice President in Institutional Equity Sales at Barclays (2015-2020). Jillian began her financial career as a Wealth Management Analyst at Raymond James (2013-2015).

Bernardo Faria is a finance professional with nearly two decades of experience in equity trading, derivatives, and macro-driven strategies. He joined 22V Research in November 2025, where he is part of the Sales and Trading team, focusing on institutional client coverage and macro-related market opportunities. Prior to joining the firm, Bernardo spent 18 years at BTG Pactual, the leading investment bank in Latin America, where he most recently served as Head Equity Trader within the Asset Management division.

Bernardo began his career in finance at Arkhe DTVM and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from PUC-Rio.

Dennis DeBusschere is President of 22V Research and chief market strategist. Prior to helping found 22V Research, he began his career in sales at Merrill Lynch. Dennis then went on to head Evercore ISI’s Portfolio Strategy Research and Quantitative Research teams and sit on the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. Dennis has consistently been one of the top-ranked portfolio strategists in the Institutional Investor’s annual poll. His daily market note covers major macro and micro events, analyzing their tactical/short term impact on markets as well as their implications for longer term market themes. Dennis graduated from University of Delaware in 1999 with a dual major in political science and economics.

Former co-head of quant research at Evercore ISI, Brian Herlihy extracts price inputs called factors from the market. Through rigorously testing factors and leveraging novel data sources like natural language processing, Brian is able to uncover actionable
market insights.

Mark Whaling joined 22V Research in January 2025 as the Head of Business Development & Strategic Growth with a focus on expanding 22V’s product offerings, distribution channels, and client facing talent. In addition to his role at 22V, Mark Whaling is the founder of Whaleshark LLC and a founding partner of WS strategic partner firms, Black Powder Partners and Black Powder Search. In all roles, he leverages his 25 years of institutional sales, finance, and management experience to drive positive outcomes for clients and partners. Prior to 22V, WS, and BPP, Mark was the Global Head of Securities at Canaccord Genuity, a position he held since April 2019. He was responsible for the oversight of all global sales, trading, research, and specialty desks. Previously, Mr. Whaling was Global Head of Sales and Trading, and from 2012 to 2015, he served as Head of Global Equity Sales and Trading. Mark joined Collins Stewart (which was acquired by Canaccord Genuity in March 2012) in 2008 as Head of US Equity Research and Sales. He was promoted to Head of Equities in September 2010. In March of 2011, he was promoted to President of Collins Stewart LLC and Head of US Securities. Before moving to Collins Stewart, Mark spent five years as a Managing Director of Institutional Equity Sales and Director of Product Development at FTN Financial. Previously, Mark was Head of Product Development at FTN Financial and a Vice President in the Institutional Sales departments of Bank of America Securities and ABN AMRO. Mr. Whaling holds a BA in history from Princeton University, where he remains deeply involved with their Football and Lacrosse Alumni organizations and helps mentor student athletes. Outside of his life in finance, Mark is active in charitable causes. He is Chairman of the Special Operators Transition Foundation, which helps special forces veterans find high quality employment. Additionally, he is on the board of the Westchester Chapter of the NFF, Golden Dozen, which provides scholarships for student athletes. He is also actively involved with Steer for Student Athletes, which helps deserving student athletes achieve their dreams of attending college.

Neal Griffin is the Chief Operating Officer at 22V Research, and Chief Executive Officer of 22V Securities, LLC. Prior to joining the firm, Neal was a senior managing director in equity trading at Evercore ISI. Neal spent over 28 years at ISI, then Evercore ISI, 12 of which as head of equity trading. A 1991 graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut, Neal served on the board of trustees of the Dolan School of Business for 10 years and is a 30-year resident of Garden City on Long Island.

Dominick (“Dom”) Tipa serves as the Director of Information Technology at 22V Research, where he leads the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the firm’s technology infrastructure. With over 10 years of industry experience, Dominick is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of the firm’s critical systems and networks. In this role, Dominick oversees technology operations, cybersecurity & networking initiatives, and data management, aligning IT strategy with 22V Research’s business objectives. Prior to joining 22V Research, Dominick worked at Evercore Partners, where he provided IT support across various segments of the Investment Bank, including Equity Research, Sales & Trading, Advisory, and Global Infrastructure Operations.
