Houze Song is the Director of China Research at 22V Research, a role he has held since August 2024. With over a decade of experience analyzing China’s economy, he previously spent nearly 11 years at the Paulson Institute, where he was a fellow at MacroPolo, the institute’s in-house think tank. At MacroPolo, he led research on the Chinese economy, specializing in subnational and regional analysis, including local government debt, regional economic divergence, infrastructure investment, and labor flows. Houze holds an MA in Applied Statistics and an MPA in Economic Policy from Columbia University. His deep expertise and data-driven approach provide critical insights into China’s evolving economic landscape.
